HASLEMERE Easter Bunny Trail was a thumping success, attracting more than 100 ‘sleuths’ eager to track down the chocolate bunnies hidden around the town.
As an added bonus, three were wearing a real pearl and a large fluffy bunny was also waiting to be won.
A grand total of 50 businesses between Brook and Beacon Hill opened their doors to those on the Easter hunt, which was organised by Haslemere Events and the town Visitor and Local Information Centre and sponsored by the Chamber of Trade, the town council, Waitrose and Claytons Fine Jewellery.
Haslemere Events chairman Melanie Odell said: “it was a lovely community event, encouraging residents to visit shops and businesses where they might not have been before. Sadly with the number of entrants, not everyone won a bunny for Easter, but I would like to thank everyone who took part in the trail.”
