Coffee shop celebrates first birthday

LIPHOOK’S L&S Gift and Coffee House on The Square has celebrated its first birthday.

Owners Sarah and her parents Karen and Graeme Hanney, along with Sarah’s

fiance Michael Walters, were joined by many customers to toast the success and popularity of the cafe with a glass of bubbly and a slice of birthday cake.

The cafe has become a favourite meeting place for many people, as well as first-time visitors.

Sarah said: “We would like to thank all our customers for their continued support and we are thrilled to have our outdoor patio seating, after receiving permission and a licence from East Hampshire District Council earlier this year.”

She continued: “Michael and I are getting married in September and we have just extended our lease on the premises and will continue to run the cafe and gift shop together.

“It has been very busy since we opened last June and we have received some great positive comments from our customers, who all seem to like the open-air patio area in front of the cafe - overlooking The Square.”
