AN East Hampshire theatre has become the talk of the district thanks to a Chatty Man.
Bordon will play host to one of the UK’s most popular comedians in February as Alan Carr is bringing his new stand-up show to the The Phoenix Theatre.
The presenter and television personality will try out some new material during a four-night run at the Station Road venue from February 10 to 13.
The BAFTA award-winning Carr needs little introduction being one of Britain’s most recognisable and treasured comedians.
His CV includes the 2015 National Television Award for best Chat Show Host and the 2008 British Comedy Award for Best Entertainment Personality.
He’s also hosted 16 series of Channel 4 show, Chatty Man, and recently appeared as a guest judge on Ru Paul’s Drag Race.
Carr is something of a comedy leviathan as his previous Spexy Beast tour saw the stand-up perform in 33 arenas.
So it’s quite a coup for The Phoenix to attract him back to Bordon with tickets for his Work in Progress show being a very reasonable £10.
Tickets are now available through www.phoenixarts.co.uk or 01420 472664 on a first come, first served basis.
A maximum of four can be purchased and payment is due at the time of booking.
The shows, which all start at 8pm, are strictly for over 14s as they are likely to contain swearing and adult content.
