A drug-driver from Chiddingfold has been given a 16-month ban after committing two offences in two months.

Guildford Magistrates Court heard Michaelina Barbato tested positive for cocaine breakdown product BZE following roadside stops in Guildford and Milford, respectively, on September 10 and October 31 last year.

The 42-year-old of Woodside Road was also caught driving while using a mobile phone during the earlier offence.

Barbato pleaded guilty to two counts of driving while under the influence of drugs, and a singular count of driving while using a mobile phone, when she appeared before Guildford Magistrates Court last Thursday.

In addition to the mandatory 16-month ban she was also fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £64 surcharge.
