Haslemere Food Bank provides a free community meal to those who need it most, and the December dinner took the turkey.

The food bank wants to thank Clare and Oli Leach who cooked a delicious Christmas dinner for nearly 60 guests. Thanks were also given to Bells Butchers for donating the turkey and to the individual that donated the ham. The food bank said both were delicious.

It is easy to get swept up in the Christmas spirit and buy your loved ones all sorts. But now Christmas is over, do you have some presents which you no longer need?

If you have any unwanted Christmas gifts, the Haslemere Food Bank would love to take them off your hands.

Between now and January 31, the food bank is having a gift amnesty. Any new, unwanted gifts can be left at any of their collection points and the food bank will ensure that they go to families in need. It is one way to keep Christmas going a little longer.
