A man from Rowledge won’t be allowed behind the wheel until next summer after being caught drink-driving.
Alastair Kennedy has been given a 12-month driving ban after being caught over the legal limit in Farnham.
Guildford Magistrates heard the 21-year-old of Meadow Way was given a roadside breath test after being stopped on Abbey Street on August 15.
Kennedy gave a reading of 58 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, with 35/100 being the legal limit.
The defendant was handed a mandatory ban after pleading guilty to a count of drink driving, reduced to nine months upon completion of a rehabilitation course.
He was also fined £100 and ordered to pay a £40 surcharge, with magistrates taking his guilty plea into consideration.
