A pair of identical twin sisters from Farnham have launched their own DJ business to help fund a school sports tour to South Africa.
Sophia and Alanna Gold, both 14 and pupils at Weydon School, have set up Gold Twin DJs to raise money towards the trip in 2027.
Performing as The Gold Twins, the pair are providing music and entertainment at children’s birthday parties, school discos and other events around Farnham.
Their venture is also giving them an early taste of running their own business, from promoting themselves and dealing with customers to planning playlists and setting up their equipment.
The twins have already started taking bookings, including providing the entertainment for a neon-themed 11th birthday party.
They are hoping to take Gold Twin DJs to more children’s birthday parties, school discos, tween and teen parties and family events.
The pair bring their own DJ set-up and music to events, take requests and interact with guests to get them dancing.
Their mum Sam said: “It has been brilliant watching Sophia and Alanna take something they love and turn it into a little business of their own.
“They are learning so much along the way, and it’s lovely that they are working towards something they are really excited about.
“Every party they do takes them one step closer to South Africa.”
Sophia and Alanna said: “We love music and we love seeing everyone having fun.
“DJing is a really fun way for us to raise money for our South Africa trip, and we’d love to do lots more parties between now and 2027.”
The twins hope to continue DJing at parties and events over the coming months as they work towards their fundraising target.
