Police have seized an e-scooter and an electric scrambler following complaints about illegal and anti-social driving in parts of Haslemere.

The vehicles were both recently seized on Lion Green while another rider was formally warned and ticketed according to an update to Haslemere Town Council by PCSO John Savage.

“Patrols are continuing but challenges are faced here because of the speed and agility of the drivers,” said the PCSO, before adding that further speed checks are planned opposite Haslewey and on the High Street and in parts of Chiddingfold.

A further two youngsters who were suspected of throwing eggs at buildings in Lower Street and Kings Road have also been handed behavioural warning letters and are “liaising” with Youth engagement officers.
