Dozens of students were on cloud nine as dread turned into delight at GCSE results day at All Hallows School.
An impressive 84 per cent of GCSE students at the Weybourne school achieved grades 9 to 4, while one in every three grades recorded was 9 to 7 - or A* to A in ‘old school’ terms.
Around 80 per cent of five GCSEs were Grade 4 or above, including in the core subjects of English and Maths.
Harri Baker, Beona Benoy, Angela Biju, Godfrey Chung, Micaela Firpo, Ana Hathaway, Grace Knight, Scarlett Lewis, Arwen McGrory, Asa Mead, Isla Moon, Izzy Ward and Sherise Yeung all achieved Grade 9 to 7 or top BTEC marks in every subject.
Special commendation goes to Sherise who received a Grade 9 in nine subjects.
Head of Year 11 Emma Gunner said: “Over the past year, our Year 11 students have shown true resilience and strength of character in the face of very difficult circumstances.

“The care and consideration they have shown towards each other has been inspiring. I would like to congratulate each of them on behalf of the entire staff and to offer my best wishes for their future pursuits. “
Head of Upper School Victoria Milnes said: “The results they have achieved are a testament to their work and dedication, providing them with a foundation for their next steps."
Headteacher Mark Baines said: “As our Year 11 students come to the end of this important stage of their education, we would like to recognise their efforts and achievements over the past five years.
“We wish all our students a happy and successful next chapter.”
