A Petersfield school has made its mark nationally as it’s been ranked in the top 100 for GCSE results.

The Times has ranked Churcher’s College 58th in the UK in their annual GCSE Results League Table, placing the Ramshill school among the nation’s highest-performing.

The impressive standing follows a superb summer with 80 per cent of all grades being 7-9, and 27 per cent of marks being the highest achievable.

New headteacher Will Scott called the placement a “wonderful recognition of the hard work and achievement” of the school’s pupils and staff.

He added: “To see Churcher’s ranked 58th in the UK is a fantastic result, and one that reflects the ambition, commitment and breadth of talent within our community.”
