COUNCILLORS approved the redevelopment of Undershaw, the home of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, last week, despite more than 1,300 objections in the form of petitions and letters to the borough council.
Undershaw Preservation Trust chairman John Gibson said after the meeting he would consider a judicial review to get the decision overturned.
Mr Gibson and fellow campaigner Lynn Gale, dressed in Victorian costume, had travelled to the southern area planning committee meeting in Godalming in a vintage car, along with Rupert Sheard who was dressed as Sherlock Holmes, to highlight the cause.
