ABSTRACT art has retained its popularity because it allows people to see things in a different way, and Haslemere Museum is here to help give you a different point of view.

From Saturday, September 9 to Wednesday, October 5 it will be hosting an exhibition of paintings by abstract artist Phil Bates.

A perfect day out for the whole family, Phil Bates’ incorporates primary colours, textures, geometric shapes, dots and pattern repeats, bringing abstraction together.

Some of his paintings are influenced by his own  experiences and are represented in shapes and patterns.
