THE countdown to Christmas got under way with three packed performances of the Blunderbus production of ‘Santa’s Little Helper’ at Grayshott Village Hall.
Charlotte Closier, of the Grayshott PK Pre-School fundraising committee said “The shows ran really well with over 100 audience members at each of the three performances. Mats at the front of the room meant that children were able to sit up close and be part of the action.”
Santa’s Little Helper was really magical with beautiful scenery and told the wonderful tale of Albert Tuttle, who helps out Santa on Christmas Eve, aided by his magical bed turned sleigh, Rudolph and a friendly robin.
The brilliant acting and puppetry took the audience on a fun-filled festive adventure with the chance to sing along, and a couple of audience members joined in for star performances.
Following the show, children had the chance to meet some of the characters and join in activities in a side room, where there was a colouring area alongside a ‘Find the Snowman’ game, a lucky dip and ‘Guess the name of the Bear’.
Thanks to the very generous sponsorship from Grayshott Pottery, Grayshott.com, Warren-Powell Richards and Sandown, which also ran a raffle on the day to win a Mercedes to drive for a weekend, the pre-school was able to raise a large amount of money
They hope to be able to to put on another show next Christmas.
