Police have reported a small drop in the number of reported crimes in two areas of Farnham.

The latest www.police.uk figures show that 73 crimes were reported in the Farnham Town Centre in June, with 85 being reported the previous month.

Incidents involving Violence or Sexual Offences (VSO) were the most frequent with 24 being reported, followed by Anti-social Behaviour (16) and Shoplifting (12).

Brightwells and the Upper Hart car park were the most “crime-ridden” areas of the patch with seven incidents apiece, while Roman Way (5) and the Riverside Park Industrial Estate (4) also being minor hotspots.

One stop and search was also carried out with a white male aged 34 or above being stopped on suspicion of possessing stolen goods, with no action taken.

There’s been no change in the Weybourne, Badshot Lea and Moor Park patch with 23 crimes being reported for the fourth consecutive month.

Like most patches, VSOs were the most frequently reported crime with 10, with five incidents involving Anti-Social Behaviour also being investigated.

A vehicle crime was also reported on Hurlands Close in Badshot Lea while an incident involving drugs was investigated on Bullers Road during a quiet month.

Crime also fell around Wrecclesham, Rowledge and The Bourne as figures fell from 54 in May to 44, with the 36 in January being the 12-month low point.

However, there have been a spate of vehicle crimes around the patch with two taking place on Lynton Close and further incidents on Blackthorn Close and Gardeners Hill Road. Burglaries were also reported on Acacia Gardens and Broadwell Road during the month.

The most frequently reported crimes in the patch were VSOs on 20 and Anti-Social Behaviour on 6, with no stop and searches taking place in either of the North and South Farnham patches during the month.
