A film maker from Alton who now lives in London is seeking funding to finish her short movie Wall Cries and persuade production companies to turn it into a feature film.

Gemma Champness said of Wall Cries: “It is the story of a sister-like bond between childhood best friends and neighbours Addie and Loreece. It’s an ode to female kinship and the fundamental need to be loved.”

She added: “I’m a local to Alton. I grew up five minutes away in a nearby village, went to Alton School and Alton College, and spent many a day and night in the town centre – mostly eating curry!”

Gemma so far has £1,379 of her £4,000 target. To donate to her Kickstarter campaign, by February 4, visit https://tinyurl.com/bds4z4s
