SOUTHERN Health NHS Foundation Trust staff and local GP surgeries have Covid-vaccinated 4,000 housebound patients.

Nurses and health professionals have delivered around 60 vaccinations a day to patients unable to leave their home through a physical or psychological illness.

Joshua Hammond of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust said: "Protecting housebound patients from the Omicron variant is essential as they are more likely to fall ill, potentially needing hospitalisation."
