FARNHAM’S Space2Grow wellbeing garden has welcomed numerous school groups this summer to indulge in the peaceful environment of outdoor life.

One group of 50 children from Hackney, London, were welcomed to a day of building dens and exploring the garden, not forgetting to take time to relax in the river.

The overnight trip gave the children an opportunity to try lots of activities they wouldn’t normally experience in inner-city London.

One pupil said afterwards they “could have stayed there making dens for hours!”

Children from nearby Potters Gate School also visited to craft wands from the garden’s harvested willow as well as tying ribbons of wishes and gratitudes to a tree.

Space2grow is running ‘afternoons in the acre’ from 3.30pm to 6pm throughout the summer holidays – welcoming families to book visits using the email [email protected]
