PEOPLE with disabilities from Surrey Choices raised more than £2,000 for The Fountain Centre, which supports cancer patients, at a Steps for Charity event.

Nursery closure leaves parents shocked and short of moneyThe idea of doing a sponsored walk came from Farnham Community Group member Tony Young, who sadly lost both his mum and dad to cancer and wanted to do something for the charity, which is based at Royal Surrey County Hospital.
Tony said: “It has been really good for me telling my friends about what happened to me. I was very close to my parents.”
Walkers enjoyed a tea party afterwards at The Harbour Activity Centre and a raffle and tombola with prizes donated by Milford and Farnham businesses.
