A RECORD number of people attended the Haslemere Food Festival last weekend.

While this year’s event was a slightly scaled-down version, this did not detract from people’s enjoyment of the day, and visitors to Lion Green were able to make the most of the music, food and drink in the sunshine on Saturday (September 18).

A variety of food and drink was on offer from local vendors, and some from further afield.

The food festival team gave its thanks to volunteers producers, musicians and visitors who helped to make this year’s event such an enjoyable occasion.

A spokesperson said: "There was a tremendous feeling of goodwill and a sense of community spirit that all contributed to making it a real success."
