The Shots went close again on 64 minutes when Abrahams found Adom-Malaki on the left-hand corner of the penalty area, whose powerful left-footed effort stung the palms of Townsend.

Aldershot broke the deadlock in the 75th minute when Abrahams’ deflected free-kick found the left-hand corner of the net, with Townsend planted on the opposite side of the goal.

The Spitifires equalised deep into added time. Reece Johnson’s left-footed cross was misjudged by Michael Stickland, and Blair pounced to slot his right-footed finish past Shots keeper Nick Hayes.
