Haslemere Hockey Club’s under-16 boys returned to winning ways with an impressive 3-2 win away at Portsport.

Two quick breaks from Portsport put the home side 2-0 up. Haslemere had controlled the game but a couple of sloppy mistakes let the home team in.

After some half-time tweaks, Haslemere completely dominated the second half and won the game thanks to goals from Otto Hartly, Tom Waller and Aubrey Bamber.

The men’s first team produced a superb display to beat Slough 5-0. Luke van Oudtshoorn, Andy Powell (2), Marco van Raalte and Alex Knight scored the goals. The men’s first team face Oxford University in their next game.

The ladies’ first team slipped to a 4-0 defeat at Havant. Havant scored three quick goals after half-time before adding a late fourth. The ladies will face Portsmouth today (Saturday).
