A WARNING has gone out after reports of cold callers contacting Waverley residents regarding the removal of fibreglass insulation.

Unless there has been a pest or vermin infestation, fibreglass insulation is safe and does not need to be removed.

A spokesman for Waverley Borough Council said: "If you receive any cold calls from companies persuading you to replace your existing fibreglass insulation, you should obtain their details and report to Trading Standards."
