INTREPID Haslemere resident and MS ‘warrior’ Nick Jolly is embarking on a 2,500-mile ride on his Vespa to raise £2,000 for the MS Trust.
Nick, 59, said: “One of my challenges will be fatigue as this is one of the symptoms. I am riding with two friends and aim to travel 200 to 250 miles per day.
“The ride is to Zanka in Hungary to attend Vespa World Day.
“In 2017, I was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS. I have regularly attended scooter events in Europe over the past 30 years, but when I was diagnosed with MS, I was unable to get to them.
“This represents both a personal and physical challenge for me. I am financing the cost of the trip, with 100 per cent of funds raised going to the MS Trust.”
