THE Bishop of Guildford, Rt Revd Andrew Watson, came to St Alban’s Church, Hindhead, for a Sunday confirmation service, earlier this month.

In a joint celebration with St John’s, Churt the bishop came to confirm nine people, lead the service and preached the sermon.

Over 150 worshippers gathered for the event which included the church worship group and a large choir.

Vicar, Rev Richard Bodle said: “Visitors came from as far away as Norway and everyone had a good time.

“It was a fantastic morning and great to get the two churches together and to welcome our bishop and those who were confirmed”.
