THE wheels are already in motion for Canine Partners’ Pedal for Paws 2017 cycling challenge returning to the South Downs in October.

More than 100 people got on their bikes for the inaugural event last year and helped raise more than £4,000 for the assistance dog charity founded in Hampshire in 1990. The cash went towards training special dogs that transform the lives of physically disabled people.

This year’s challenge offers 29 and 52-mile routes from Canine Partners’ training centre in Midhurst, setting off at 8am on October 1.

Advanced tickets cost £20 for adults and £10 for children under 16, with participants asked to raise at least £100 for the charity.
