Care in Haslemere held its first in-person AGM meeting since the pandemic in the Haslemere Methodist Church.

The meeting was attended by Haslemere’s Mayor, Councillor Jerome Davidson.  Cllr Davidson said he was impressed by Care in Haslemere's 40 years of transporting people to their medical and dental appointments.

It was revealed during the meeting last Thursday that Care in Haslemere was practically back to pre-Covid numbers of journeys undertaken up to March this year, from 660 to and from Haslemere and Grayshott surgeries, to 500 trips to and from other appointments further afield.

John Sanderson, a committee member of Care in Haslemere announced his retirement after more than 25 years working as a driver, and the meeting heard he would be greatly missed.
