CAMELSDALE Primary School pupils presented a festival hamper to Chestnut View’s new manager Simon Lloyd MBE at a party to celebrate its revamped residents room and sensory garden.

The ribbon was cut by Haslemere Mayor John Robini.

Mr Lloyd said: “Today holds special significance for me, as it is my first event in the home since joining Chestnut View.

“This event has provided me with the opportunity to spend time with all the lovely residents and meet many of their families, along with the people of Haslemere’s community, who care.”

Activity lead Zieta Morrison added: “We have many talented people living at the home with so much knowledge about gardening.

“It was lovely to be able to work together in creating a garden from scratch, which incorporates old and new ideas. ”
