HASLEMERE and villages in the surrounding countryside have been blanketed by the earliest snowfall for two decades.
In scenes reminiscent of last winter, around five centimetres of snow fell on the town between Monday night and Wednesday morning.
And a sustained spell of low temperatures created icy conditions.
