A former Midhurst resident is celebrating after her success at the International Pet Photographer of the Year competition.

Diane Gollowitzer is clearly a quick learner as the dog photographer, who took up the hobby only in 2018, won five bronze and silver awards out of the six categories she entered.

Diane recently moved to Winchester after living in Midhurst for six years.

She said: “Dogs are my passion. They are just so lovely and I love how my photos make the owners smile.”

Something Diane prides herself on is how her sessions have no time limit.

She added: “That way if a dog is nervous or anxious they have plenty of time to get to know me and relax so I can take that perfect picture.”

Diane has two dogs herself, a nine-year-old Scottish Terrier, Dougal, and a four-year-old Irish Terrier, Deedee. They are both trick dog champions.
