HASLEMERE Health Centre closed for a deep clean today (Feb 28) as a "precautionary measure".

No further information about the source of contamination or if a patient has tested positive for coronavirus has been released

NHS Guildford and Waverley Clinical Commissioning Group stated: "Haslemere Health Centre is temporarily closed today to enable a clean of the surgery as a routine precautionary measure.

"The practice will reopen as soon as possible and patients will be advised if their appointment needs to be rearranged.

"We apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused.

"Safety is our priority and we have been working with public health teams to make sure there is no risk to staff and patients."
