HASLEMERE Kitchen, which serves up free community lunches, has been selected for March Community Matters donations at the town’s Waitrose branch.

Operating from Haslemere Methodist Church, the project opens its doors to one and all and is appealing to supporters to “drop your little green tokens” in its box.

For the first time since it launched in 2019, Haslemere Kitchen had to cancel its Sunday lunch last weekend due to difficulties collecting donated food. The kitchen tweeted: “This is not a decision we’ve taken lightly. We will see you all next time around March 15. ”
