WATCH this space: that’s the message from a pub’s new landlords after getting the keys to a long-closed premises.

Zoltan and Dora Kover have answered the prayers of drinkers in Liss Forest as they’ve taken over The Temple.

The Hungarian couple and their daughter, Mercedesz, have signed a one-year lease with Red Oak for the Forest Road pub.

It needs a little bit of love as it closed in late in 2022, but the trio are hopeful of reopening within the next month.

“It was always my biggest dream to run a little hospitality business so getting this place is a dream come true,” said Zoltan, who previously worked for the pub’s former owners, Red Mist, at The Rose & Crown in Farringdon.

“We’ve looked on websites for a while for businesses. This place is lovely.”

The trio have relocated from Petersfield to The Temple but have plenty of village links as Dora previously worked in The Turtle Bean and Zoltan’s employers have included the Hawkley Inn.
