FANTASTIC Mr Foxes, Oompa Loompas and BFGs took St Mary’s Primary School, Chiddingfold, by storm for a day to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Roald Dahl.

The school joined others across the UK in a ‘Dahlicious Dress Up Day’ in aid of the author’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. Pupils joined in all sorts of activities linked to their favourite stories.

These included writing a diary entry imagining they had won a Golden Ticket to Willie Wonka’s chocolate factory, inventing a crocodile trap, studying the descriptions of mouldy food in Mr Twit’s beard, and filling their very own dream jars.
