THE discovery of a safe, dumped on a golf course, led Surrey Police to discover a burglary at Witley in which thousands of pounds of jewellery was stolen.
The safe was discovered by a member of the Hurtmore Golf Club on Tuesday, December 30, when it was found by the 15th hole. Officers attended the scene and located paperwork which led them to a house in Petworth Road, Witley.
