HARVEST assembly struck a chord with The Royal School’s daycare and nursery pupils, who enjoyed singing about autumn and particularly throwing leaves to create the right atmosphere.

The song ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’ was performed with much arm and leg-shaking. Adapted from I Can Sing a Rainbow, the song ‘I Can Grow A Vegetable’ also caused much merriment.

Further old favourites were also performed with gusto and Anne Lynch, the principal, enjoyed the challenge of concluding with a much quieter Harvest Prayer.

All proceeds were donated to the Haslemere Food Bank.
