FERNHURST Films next screening is on Saturday, May 14, with Brooklyn, a gentle nostalgia trip to the 1950s.

In this romantic drama a young woman on a visit to her native Ireland from New York must decide in which country and with which man she will spend the rest of her life.

It stars Saoirse Ronan, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent and Emory Cohen. Village Hall doors open 7pm, and the film rated PG starts at 7.30pm.

After Saturday’s show, the village cinema take a summer break until September 10 when Fernhurst Films begins a 10th season with Lady in the Van.
