SURREY is the worst county for potholes in the UK, with more than 6,700 needing filling according to a new study.

That’s around double the second offender, Kent County Council, which currently has more than 3,100 potholes.

It’s according to data on the Fill That Hole website which allows people, mainly cyclists, to report the potholes and then passes these details on to local authorities.

The league table shows that Surrey County Council has fixed 15 per cent of the reported craters, leaving 6,757 damaging potholes as ‘open reports’.

The Mail on Sunday is also reporting that there are 100,249 potholes across the UK waiting to be repaired.
