A PLEA to the community to support plans to preserve Undershaw and extend it as a special needs school with public access during holidays was made at a packed public meeting in Hindhead last Monday.
Detailed designs just submitted to Waverley Borough Council for the restoration of the original Grade II listed building – and the addition of a linked two-storey wing to provide state-of-the-art facilities for Hindhead-based Stepping Stones School – were on show at the event.
Residents joined school parents for an in-depth presentation on the project, followed by a question-and-answer session.
