THE WATERCRESS Line’s enchanting Wizard Weekend returned for Hallowe’en – with passengers young and old joining station staff in dressing up for the spook-tacular three-day event.

Wizards, witches, ghosts and ghouls enjoyed unlimited trips on the line, as well as a gruesome feast of family-fun activities at Ropley and Alresford stations last Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Passengers could stock up on flying supplies, meet hooting owls and creepy crawlies up close, enter a fancy dress competition, ride on Ropley’s miniature railway, walk in Harry Potter’s footsteps over the Handyside Bridge and set foot in one of the real Hogwarts Express carriages.

There was also face-painting, magic shows, handmade sweets, wand-making workshops and even a chance to meet the Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Mickey Mouse!
