A BURGLAR broke into a house in Grayshott and stole jewellery on Tuesday afternoon last week.

The following day Surrey police secured enough evidence to charge Mark Chatfield, 40, from Epsom Road, West Clandon, Guildford, with entering a house in Headley Road, Grayshott, and stealing jewellery including watches, ear rings, rings and necklaces.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Guildford Crown on March 2.
