DEPUTY lieutenant of Hampshire Alan Titchmarsh visited the Anstey Road pharmacy in Alton on November 23 to thank the staff and Alton Mutual Aid Covid-19 volunteers for their work delivering medicine to vulnerable residents during lockdown.

Volunteers visited Anstey Road and every other pharmacy in Alton daily throughout lockdown to collect and deliver thousands of prescriptions for people needing medicine who were unable to leave their home.

Mr Titchmarsh said: “It’s volunteers who keep England going. Thank you all for what you do.”
