THERE was not a soggy bottom in sight when Haslemere-based Organic Cookery School celebrated Red Nose Day by running a 'Great British Bake-Off' sale and baking competition – raising £400 for Comic Relief in the process.

The Organic Cookery School transformed High Lane Community Centre into a vintage café and held a cake competition for keen local bakers. Categories included Easter baking, gingerbread houses and traditional afternoon tea.

Judged by Trevor Cruickshank and Emma Higginson, from Cruickshank's Cakes and Yours Tastefully, respectively, entries to the competition came from both young and old alike.

The event included a raffle, cake decorating demonstrations and children's activities. The room used was blue rather than the charity's red, but was decorated as well as the wonderful cakes.
