GRAYSHOTT Square hosted its first-ever Macmillan coffee morning and raised more than £1,600.
The event was organised by Colin Thompson and the Coffee Group, who also acted as baristas, serving up freshly brewed coffee and slices of donated home-made cakes in return for donations.
Sainsbury’s donated coffee and the Co-op provided free milk and tea bags.
Other local businesses did their bit by donating prizes for a fundraising raffle and cakes for a sale.
The Red Rose Tea Room and Jolleys Cafe, at Grayshott Pottery, also took part in The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and The Red Rose succeeded in raising an additional £220.
