PRESSURE is mounting on Waverley Borough Council to reconsider its decision to exclude Dunsfold Park as a suitable site for the 8,500 new homes it has been estimated should be built over the next 20 years to comply with the National Planning Policy Framework.

Waverley is currently identifying suitable housing sites as part of its push to get a Local Plan in place by the end of 2015.

Objectors have warned that the lack of a Local Plan is a charter for developers, who now have a much better chance of winning at appeal.
