A total of £20,000 was raised by the Charity Walk for Peace held at the Hogmoor Inclosure and around Whitehill & Bordon in May.

Sixteen charities were each presented with cheques for £1,250 in a ceremony at East Hampshire District Council’s Penns Place offices in Petersfield on December 14.

More than 250 people took part in the 5km walk organised by the council, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elder Association and the Whitehill & Bordon Community Trust.

Bordon charities helped were the Deadwater Valley Trust, The Vokes Trust, the Whitehill & Bordon Community Trust and The Kingsley Organisation.
