PARKING will be free between 3pm and 7pm every Thursday afternoon in all Waverley Borough Council car parks next month, including on Christmas Eve.

The borough council has launched the initiative to encourage residents to use the town centres for their Christmas shopping, providing a boost to the local economy.

Waverley-run car parks in Haslemere town centre include those in the High Street, Chestnut Avenue and Tanners Lane.
