WEY Hill’s countdown to Christmas starts tomorrow (Saturday), when Haslewey Community Centre’s popular annual Christmas Fayre opens at midday as part of the Lion Green festive extravaganza.

A host of artisan stalls is on offer until 5pm, on December 17, and junior visitors can meet Father Christmas in his Festive Grotto and also receive a free gift.

There will also be a mini fairground on the Wey Terrace.

• Haslemere Town Council is holding a Christmas Carol service on Lion Green at 5.15pm with music and a mince pies.
