My Working Week: Before burnout becomes crisisThink18, which raised more than £11,000 at the event, aims to support young adults with learning disabilities by running a social club offering workshops and activities where they can meet friends and have fun.
Tessa wants to raise £35,000 which will help purchase a minibus to collect members with learning disabilities like her daughter Rosie.
Tessa explained: “There are many services to support younger children with learning disabilities. But once a child reaches the age of 18 they are thin on the ground.
“I never thought for one minute we would be lucky enough to have ‘dance captain’ Andrew Self come along and help us with the launch as well as give a spectacular performance. ”
