YOUNG performers in Surrey have until next Friday, September 25. to enter The Glee Club Challenge and win a share of £5,000 in prizes.
The largest Glee Club competition in the UK will this year see young performers from Surrey and Kent join groups from across London and Essex to ‘tread the boards’ and share a fantastic Glee experience.
The challenge is a music and dance programme aimed at 11 to 25 year olds and groups must number between eight and 30 performers.
A shortlist of the best 40 groups will be put through their paces at a series of free boot camps and workshops by industry professionals to hone their performing skills ahead of the grand final at the 02 Arena in March next year.
The Challenge is open to schools, youth clubs, drama and dance groups, friends with a passion for performing, established groups or those just starting out.
TV’s Graham Norton is patron of the challenge and heads up a glitzy line-up of celebrity judges.
He said: “Every year I am moved by these young people. There is so much passion in their performances it brings a tear to the eye. They are a joy to watch and a real challenge to judge. Everyone should enter!”
