The Weydon Multi-Academy Trust’s teacher training arm, the i2i Teaching Partnership, has been awarded an ‘outstanding’ rating after a recent Ofsted inspection.

i2i Teaching Partnership, the only specialist secondary teacher training provider in the area, and is a collaboration of local schools including Weydon and Heath End in Farnham, Woolmer Hill in Haslemere, and Rodborough in Milford.

Ofsted inspectors praised i2i on its “highly effective provision” and “relentless focus on relationships and strengthening the partnership”.

Ofsted highlighted that i2i trainees are “supported and challenged to reach and maintain the highest standards”, and they “thrive through a highly personalised approach”.

Ofsted judged that “the quality of mentoring is exceptional” and that i2i mentors “nurture trainees’ development”.

John Winter, CEO of Weydon Multi-Academy Trust, said: “I am delighted that this hard earned recognition means that the students in our area will continue to benefit from outstanding secondary teacher training.

“There are no great schools without great teachers. This judgement is not just a testament to the staff at Weydon’s Teacher Training Centre, it is a reflection on the brilliant partnership working with all of our family of schools.”

The i2 partnership has grown from one training centre at Weydon in Farnham, to include two further training centres at Reigate and Thamesmead Schools.

It hopes to further expand into east and south Hampshire. To find out more about teacher training opportunities, visit www.i2ipartnership.co.uk or contact Krissy Taylor on 01252 900550 or email [email protected]
